About the Videos
Above is a small selection of films shot, edited, and narrated by, a team of visually impaired research participants, along with sighted researchers and film makers. The video content was captured between 2014 and 2016, and forms part of a wider video database which contains key moments from VI young people’s everyday journeys.
To produce these films we ran three workshops with participants, in which we reviewed, discussed, edited, and narrated the videos to tell six different stories. The film making and research team then worked together to weave these elements into six short films, with regular input from participants along the way. All music has been composed and selected by the project participants and stories are told in their own words.
